So… FOXNEWS thinks h1n1 will likely spin out of control. CNN thinks the American public needs to be brought up to speed on latina girl suicides. It sucks because, saying something like “this isn’t fucking news” makes it seem like I’m a douche bag, but this isn’t fucking news. While I myself am not a Latina female, I am a mexican male trapped in a world where things are often harder for men than women. I’m sorry to tell you Latina girls out there, you don’t have it hard, get over yourself and accept the fact that if you keep an American diet your ass will get huge and you WILL shop at Lane Bryant for the majority of your life.
This article enrages me, it does talk about what people should do to stop from feeling this way. Life sucks as a minority. For me even more so because I’m faced with even my close friends telling me “it’s just policy”. Fuck that. But why give up? Should I just crawl in a corner and slit my wrists and give up? No. I’m strong and I’m strong enough to put with this and keep fighting until things gets better. Suicide is cowardice at its best blaming anything other the individual for what happens is a crock of shit. We’ve all been there ladies. This country’s current attitude to Mexican’s and Latinos in general blows. But stop fucking getting all dramatic. Get your resolve and walk with a purpose in the mornings. I wish President Obama wouldn’t have tainted the word “hope” so much. But that’s what it is, hope that things will get better and faith that people will eventually see us for who we are.
On that note, all of you Mexican’s out there protesting for people like myself. Stop waiving your fucking Mexican Flags. I’m so god damn tired of it. We came to America for a better life. Not to make it just like Mexico you idiots. I wish I could punch you all square in the neck. (whoa anger) Don’t feel sorry for us, we don’t need it. We need empathy. Understand why were hear and how we got here and give us a chance to prove that we can be Americans and damn good ones. I hate you CNN. Stop classifying us this way.
So to wrap ip: CNN fails on an epic level this morning. No mention of the h1n1 conference, no mention of anything remotely useful. Just some dumb feel bad for Latinos story. I’m offended. Fire your god damn web editor.
